The DEA has filed a notice to schedule MGM-15, 7-OH, Pseudoindoxyl Mitragynine, SR-17018, and a few smaller alkaloids/chemicals. We understand that for some of you, this may be terrible news. In an effort to bring all possible support together in one cohesive unit to have the highest possibility of curbing this upcoming ban, we are providing resources on how you can help.
Firstly; on July 7th at 7PM EST 7HOPE Alliance is holding a zoom meeting to discuss the next steps and what this all means. You can register for this meeting here: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_whd6nfN6TRGlLZmU50V4Yg#/registration
Secondly, sign the petition to stop or delay the ban here: https://www.change.org/p/urgent-stop-a-national-7-oh-ban-protect-chronic-pain-patients
The meeting should hold more insight as to what our next steps are and what the near future looks like. We need everyone who has had some interaction with these alkaloids to step up and make their voice heard. Only by coming together do we have any chance to change this ignorant legislation. If a recorded version of the meeting is released afterwards, we will link to it here for those who read this blog post after July 7th.
TIANEPTINE UPDATE:
We had concerns even bringing it up because this has happened before with no action, but Tianeptine had a proposal filed on July 8th. This is a weaker filing than what 7OH and MGM-15 has, but still concerning. We are looking over all options of delaying this proposal. The deadline for decision is August 8th and a simple filing for a hearing will delay it. We will keep everyone updated as all of this plays out, but if you would like to continue your work with these chemicals, it may be smartest to stock up when possible.
Thanks,
Chris
